INFORMATION

This years show will be held on Saturday, August 8th, in downtown Oshkosh. Gates open at 9 a.m., show starts at noon and all cars must be in place by 2 p.m. in order to be judged. Click here for direction to the facility where the show will be held.

We'll be kicking things off starting Friday night, with a drive through town to Leons (an old school ice cream drive in with car hops and all) and then more than likely overtaking a local eat and drink establishment or possibly even a bonfire out at the camp ground.... As far as the day of the show goes, here are the times:

  • 9:00 AM- Gates open
  • 12:00 PM- Show Starts
  • 2:45 PM- cars MUST be in place to be judged
  • 5/5:30 ish PM- Awards

After the awards we'll do some mingling and enjoy some dope beats supplied by the djs.

Places to stay:
UWOSH
For the folks who want a bed indoors, within sight of the show grounds, we've worked a deal with the university to use one of their dorms. Rooms are 35 bucks a night. Their page has all the info you need and we have a block of 70 reserved. You just need to call and let them know you are coming for Dubs In the Valley.

The benefit of staying here is, you can comfortably walk here from the show grounds. The show area will be locked up overnight and you can leave your car there for the night. There will be somebody posted to watch over the venue over night to ensure the safety of your stuff. We did it this way since there will be a party afterwards, ;) as Chris from Becket's has offered to host it. I would rather the weekend stayed fun and safe with no accidents or nasty tickets, just fond "holy Crap! Remember that moments.

We recommend getting these reserved asap as there will be more if we need them, we just don't know how many.

Camping:
Camping will be at Sleepy Hollow again this year, except it will be in the area the show was so you can tent in the shade giving you a much more pleasurable experience in the early morning sun.

Click here to reserve a camping space for the weekend.

Oshkosh Area Humane Society

This year, we are proud to announce that a portion of all proceeds will be donated to the Oshkosh Area Humane Society. The mission of the Oshkosh Area Humane Society is to inspire responsible pet ownership and kindness towards all living things.  We safeguard, rescue, adopt, and advocate for animals in need while promoting the human animal bond.

OAHS serves the Oshkosh area and surrounding community. We are pleased to have had visitors and adopters come from all over the state of Wisconsin and even outside the state to see our facility and to visit with the pets looking for homes. OAHS never turns an animal in need way and does not have a time limit on the stay of a companion animal.  Many times OAHS  goes the extra mile for pets coming to us, especially older pets or those with behavioral issues and medical needs.

OAHS has several programs to aid in the adoption and care of animals.  The Home at Last Program provides sponsorship for cats over the age of three years old. The  Best Friends Program provides sponsorship for dogs that, for whatever reason, may have been overlooked by prospective adopters. There is the Cuddles Fund to provide for medical treatments that go beyond traditional health care. Last year, through the S.N.I.P (Spay/Neuter In-house Program), OAHS arranged for the spaying and neutering of 625 animals: 578 of those surgeries were done right at OAHS thanks to several different veterinarians volunteering their skills. (OAHS pays for everything else such as anesthesia, surgical packs and additional staff to monitor the animals before and after surgery.)

Through the Christine Ann Domestic Abuse Center, OAHS offers to provide housing for the pets of families in crisis. OAHS also serves as a member of  the Coordinated Community Response (CCR) Team along with other local agencies such as law enforcement, social services, counseling servicesma and the Winnebago DA's office.

OAHS provides multiple educational programs to area schools and Scout Troops. Last year more than 30 programs were presented and and equal number of tours were provided for young children. (An estimated 2500 children were part of our educational services last year.)

Less than 11% of OAHS $700,000 operating costs come from service contracts. OAHS relies heavily on private donations, memberships, sponsorships and fundraisers to continue to provide the above services and more to our community..

Again, thank you for caring about the animals. We truly appreciate your support.
